5 Freelance Jobs which are Tried to be replaced by AI but failed miserably

AI has certainly altered the way we work, think and even create. I have been reading about AI tools on aisohail.com long enough, and though I am thrilled with how powerful they have become, there is one thing that I have found interesting, they are still dreadfully poor at what real human creativity, emotion, and intuition can do.

This is my sincere evaluation of five freelance jobs that AI has attempted to replace… but failed.

Copywriting – Words yet require a human heartbeat.

AI can write — but it can’t feel. When I experiment with AI copywriting, the words are soundless and soulless. A human copywriter does not write to occupy space; he or she knows about emotions, culture and timing. They are capable of making a reader laugh, make one feel inspired, or even cry.

Yes, AI is capable of helping outline or research, but the magic is in the fact that a real person makes words sound, touch, and become meaningful. That is the reason why customers continue to employ human copywriters and not robots.

Graphic Design – the human eye is still the winner.

I have experimented with applications such as Midjourney, DALL-E, and AI in Canva and though the results are impressive, they lack a human touch. A freelance designer listens, asks questions and creates something that represents the soul of a client and not only his or her logo.

AI is able to generate images, whereas humans form identity. This is why on aisohail.com, I suggest creatives to employ AI as a tool as often as a vision.

Voiceover Artists – Emotion can not be automated.

I have used AI voice generators and they now sound more natural but they have no spark of life. An actual voice over artist is warm, rhythmic and lively and it connects at once.

It can be either a brand video, or an emotional campaign, but it is only a human voice that can make you feel the message, but not hear it.

Photography – Still beats pixels.

AI is able to produce beautiful images, yet a real-life photo taken by a real person is somehow strong. A photographer does not only capture emotions, but also images.

The light game, a true smile, some accident on the street, that is art. AI is not able to reproduce that authenticity, and that is what audiences desire the most nowadays.

Social Media Managers – The true experts of connector.

AI is able to plan, analyse and even propose captions but not to connect. An experienced social media freelancer can understand how to gauge the atmospheres of a group of people, when to be funny, or how to transform the comments into community.

I have witnessed brands that are over-reliant on automation lose their voice. Experiential interaction is by real humans period.

My Takeaway

AI is remarkable, it assists us to save time, automatize and be creative quicker. But, when it comes to the sense of feeling, to knowing, to relating, human beings win every time.

At aisohail.com, I always say:

It is possible that AI can copy your work, but it cannot copy your soul.

And instead of being scared of AI, we should apply it in a wise manner. Give it the dull stuff, and we concentrate on what we are best at, which is creativity, empathy, and originality.

Since ultimately, AI is capable of producing. But only humans can inspire.
